Whoa That's Weird: Rabbit Heads

The entire province of Sichuan, China is obsessed with eating rabbit heads.  You can find a vendor selling spicy rabbit skulls on just about every block and, honestly, the little bit of meat you can scrape off the bone is pretty tasty.

I just don’t understand their obsession with heads though when you can just eat a rabbit thigh or breast (which are DELICIOUS). Apparently, they like the suck the brain out and claim it tastes like pâté. Do you China, Do you.

This information will be useful to approximately zero of you but if you do find yourself munching on rabbit heads here is the proper way you are supposed to eat them.

1. Wrench apart the upper and lower jaws so you can pick off the tender cheek meat.

2. Pull the tongue off and eat it.

3. Pop the eyeballs out by sticking your finger through the sockets.

4. Pull off the top of the head and suck the brain out.

WHOA. THAT’S WEIRD.
